El
Coco Welcomes New Shops, Restaurants & Banking
Exciting new commerce has come to paradise! El Coco residents and
vacationers may now enjoy the convenience of new restaurants, major
retail shopping and banking in town, enhancing existing alternatives
already available
In recent days, two large grocery stores have opened, making El
Coco home to three major groceries—a rarity for a village of this
size. Additionally, a new bank is now in business, becoming the
third banking center for the area. The popular chain Subway has
opened its doors, bringing tasty options to the area.
As major developers and businesses continue to invest in the
region, we have a clear gauge for the anticipated growth of the
area. PDLP has long had the vision for El Coco, and we strive to
ensure the history, spirit and culture of this Costa Rican village
is preserved even as we make the most of new opportunities.
Liberia
Airport is Really Taking Off!
El Coco is serviced by the easily-accessible, ever-improving
Daniel Oduber International Airport in Liberia. The convenience of
the Liberia airport is just one of the key advantages for
vacationers and residents in Guanacaste. For several years, this
international hub has offered increased options and flight times for
air travelers, and now the positive news continues.
The Daniel Oduber International Airport has recently announced
several important updates:
- New Duty-free Shop – ideally located in the airport terminal,
a handy alternative for last-minute souvenir shopping
- Upgrades to runway and passenger plane parking area – thinking
ahead to accommodate increased numbers of planes routing travelers
in and out of Liberia
- Major additions and renovations by 2010 – plans are in the
works to herald major advancements for the Liberia airport, in
anticipation of half a million tourists by 2010
The best news is that local leaders are prioritizing
infrastructure to ensure the airport grows wisely with an emphasis
on the safety and comfort of travelers. Of course, airport
improvements will only enhance the commerce and tourism of the
entire Guanacaste region, including El Coco and the Playas de las
Palmas properties! http://www.journalcr.com/news_article.php?article=2085
