On
the Horizon: A New Marina for El Coco
Plans for a 300-boat marina for El Coco have been officially
approved by the Costa Rican Tourism Institute. Once completed, the
new marina will be a hub of activity for the Playa del Coco. It will
be constructed at Punta Centinela, offering waterway access for
tourists, as well as employment opportunities for locals.
The beaches of the Northern Pacific
region of Guanacaste draw tourists year round and are regulated to
ensure the environment is always preserved, even as the area’s
popularity grows.
This marina is just one of countless new conveniences coming to
the area. Playa del Coco and the surrounding community is
beautifully balancing its appeal to travelers worldwide with its
native culture and local color. Please, click here for more info.
