The publication recapped our success since 2004 and highlighted our holiday vacation alternatives. though we live our story every day, it was exciting to see the summary in print. Things continue to look up for tourism in Costa Rica, in spite of a challenging economy this year. According to the latest data from the Costa Rican Tourism Organization, the industry has seen a 12 increase in 2008, continuing a positive trend established in previous years.

Keys to the upward swing include Costa Rica’s affordability and proximity for travelers. Ironically, when purse strings are tightened, vacationers still need somewhere to let loose, and numbers affirm smart travelers are finding “la pura vida” to be a viable option.
